
Metro will run on new metro route in Delhi
New Delhi:
Saket Ji Block Corridor from Lajpat Nagar in Delhi has got the green signal. There will be a total of eight stations on this route. This will be the first such metro route in the country which will have only three coaches. The total length of this route will be 8 kilometers and 80 thousand passengers will be able to travel on this route every day. This route has passed through many interchange. Due to the interchange, passengers traveling on this route will also be able to travel to other routes. The start of this route is estimated to 2029. Work on this route can start in the next few months.
Phase -IV’s Lajpat Nagar – Saket G Block Metro Corridor will be the second smallest metro line (8 km) in Delhi Metro Network. This will expand the last mile connectivity by ensuring uninterrupted interchange with the existing metro corridor. The benefit from the commencement of this route will be that it will consume less energy per trip.
Each coach will have a capacity of about 300 passengers
This will also cause less damage to the environment and will also reduce expenses. About 300 passengers will be able to sit and stand in every coach, that is, 900 passengers per trip to 3 coaches will be able to travel.
