New Delhi :
The NIA has arrested the alleged main attacker in the murder case of Srinivasan, a PFI sponsored by PFI in 2022 in Palakkad, Kerala. This information was given in an official statement. According to the statement, there was a reward of seven lakh rupees on the arrest of Shamnad EK alias Shamanad Ilikal, a resident of Manjeri, Malappuram, Kerala. Shammad was absconding for the last three years. Shammad was also an accused in several other cases and was eventually arrested from Ernakulam after the NIA’s ‘absconding tracking team’ continuous efforts.
The accused was allegedly under the patronage of the banned Popular Front of India and had been living with secret identity since the ‘heinous murder’ of RSS leader Srinivasan.
The statement claimed that an investigation by the NIA in the case registered in September 2022 has revealed that the conspiracy of the murder was allegedly hatched by PFI leaders and activists with the aim of creating communal divisions.
