The World Bank has expressed confidence in the Indian economy and described it as a great place for investment. In the Advantage Assam 2.0 Business Summit held in Guwahati, World Bank’s Country Director Auguste Tano Koume said that there is no need to worry about India’s growth (India Economic Growth), but it is a big opportunity for investors.
World Bank trusts India’s capacity
Koume said that the World Bank is very excited about India and the same will remain the same. He insisted that even a percentage fall in the Economic Growth Rate cannot weaken India’s prospects.
India is the best place for investment
The World Bank has shown a positive attitude before India’s growth and investment opportunities. Koume said that India’s growing economy includes it among the best investment places in the world. He advised foreign companies and startups to invest in India.

Recently, the World Bank has said in its ‘Global Economic Prospects’ reports that India will remain the world’s fastest growing big economy for the next two years.
RBI expected to be 7.2% economic growth rate in FY 2024-25
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) also estimated in December 2024 that India’s economic growth rate is expected to be 7.2% in FY 2024-25, which is slightly less than 8.2% in 2023-24. But the World Bank believes that this is a healthy growth rate and this will keep India’s economic strength.
