Actress Anita Ayub, born in Karachi, Pakistan, studied at a private girls college and earned a Masters degree in English Literature from Karachi University. In 1993, she came to India for an advertisement shoot, where she met veteran film actor Dev Anand. Dev Anand saw his advertisement and cast him in his film Pyaar Ka Tarana.
