Washington:
US President Donald Trump has been engulfed in his own country over his policies and recently imposed tariffs. On Saturday, thousands of people opposed Trump’s policies and executive orders. Protests took place in Mexico and Canada along with all 50 states of America. According to the organizers, around 150 activist groups participated in the protests. A large number of people protested near Washington DC and President’s Florida Niwas.

The protesters are protesting against Elon Musk, a director of Trump and Director of Department of Government Efficiency. These nationwide protests are under the banner of “Hands of”. “Hands of” is described as a nationwide mobilization “on its official website” to prevent the most shameless grabbing power in modern history.

More than 150 organizations mobilized

The trump administration and critics of DOGE have organized protests to protest the efforts to reduce the size of the federal government through budget cuts and employees dismissal.

More than 150 organizations include Civil Rights Group, Union, LGBTQ+ Advocate, Veteran Association and Election Reform Activist. He has coordinated more than 1,200 “hands of” demonstrations.

The protesters have expressed their protest against Trump’s policies. A protestor told ANI, “I am very inspired by Mahatma Gandhi. Today, I am here because it is our ocean and our salt … as far as the World Commerce and World Exchange is concerned, we have a lot to give to each other … first I, first my country, first my country, first my product is unstable for the world and humanity …”

Protesters rained on Trump

Another protestor said, “I have come here to support all those who are fighting for their jobs, health insurance, medical, social security, housing, food. People are upset because they have no money … Many people have lost their jobs.”

Another protestor described Donald Trump as a puppet in the hands of other people and said, “Tariff is a means of destroying our country for other interests, who are manipulating …”

Another said, “We are all here because we are very upset due to tariffs and the ongoing recession in the country.”

Another protestor said, “There is a warning to the excessive tariff Americans and people around the world declared by Trump that they are a destructive power, their goal is to become a dictator, their policies are not good for Americans, they are not good for the people of the developing world including our colleagues, business partners and big democracy like India. Make it poor and make the people of India poor.

People are angry with Trump’s tariff

These demonstrations are being held by President Trump after the announcement of tariff earlier this week, which created a stir in the world’s financial markets and increased the concern of international trading partners.

Donald Trump announced a tariff on countries around the world on 2 April. Soon after taking charge for the second time in February, Trump prepared a new trade policy centered on fairness and mutuality and said that the US would implement the reciperochl tariff, levy the same fees on other countries that they impose on American goods.
