Three youths who tried to rob the gun on the KMP Expressway were caught on the strength of the gun, considering the police team as ordinary citizens. The police gave this information on Tuesday. The three arrested people have been identified as Shahid alias Pola, Imran and Aamir.
All of them are residents of Dhulawat village in Nuh district. A case has been registered against him at Sadar Tupu police station. A native pistol, a cartridge, an iron rod and a stick were recovered from his possession.
The incident occurred on Monday night when three youths surrounded the police patrol by three youths about a kilometer ahead of the Dhulawat toll plaza on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway.
Investigating officer Mahendra Singh said, ‘The accused stopped the police vehicle waving arms. One of them put a gun on the driver’s neck and said, ‘Take out whatever you have’. When the driver lit the light of the car, the three tried to run away, because they realized that they were police, but they were caught. The investigation revealed that the former has a pre -criminal record.
