Timings of liquor shops extended in Noida-Greater Noida
Liquor shops in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Noida and Greater Noida will remain open for an extra hour on New Year’s Eve (December 31). These shops will remain open from 10 am to 11 pm.
Special license required for party in Noida
Special license will be required to organize parties on New Year. District Excise Officer Subodh Srivastava said that the department is issuing a one-day license for Rs 1,100. The process is completely online, aimed at ensuring safe and legal consumption of alcohol. For more information visit the Excise Department website (excise.up.gov.in).
Pubs and bars will remain open till 12 midnight in Gurugram-Faridabad
Actually, till now no fresh advisory has been issued by Gurugram and Faridabad regarding the eve of 31st December. Because of this, the rules as they are will remain in force. Just as pubs and clubs remain open till 12 midnight in Gurugram and Faridabad, similarly they will remain open on the eve of 31st December. Whereas if a pub or club remains open all night then they will have to pay a separate license fee for it, which is double the current fee.
Traffic advisory for the eve of December 31 in Delhi
Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory on Saturday, which will start from New Year’s Eve and there will be some restrictions. Along with this, the Deputy Commissioner of Police has also warned of strict action against crimes like drunken driving, stunt biking, careless driving and over-speeding. According to the traffic advisory, the restrictions will be effective from 8 pm on December 31 and will continue till the end of New Year 2025 celebrations.
Vehicles will be banned from moving towards Connaught Place in Mandi House, Bengali Market, Ranjit Singh Flyover and other key areas. Additionally, no vehicle will be allowed to enter the Inner, Middle or Outer Circle of Connaught Place, except those with valid passes.
