A video of a doctor smoking cigarettes to a child in a community health center in Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh is becoming increasingly viral. The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) has now ordered an inquiry into the matter. An official said that the matter came to light when the video of this incident went viral on social media.

The incident is being reported from last month. This whole act of the doctor was recorded by a person present there in his mobile and then uploaded on social media.

The incident is from the Community Health Center in Kuthund, where a couple came to get their children treated and Dr. Suresh Chand claimed to have cigarette colds by smoking cigarettes. Not only this, Suresh Chandra put a cigarette in the baby’s mouth and burnt it with a lighter. When the child could not smoke cigarettes, he also told him how to smoke cigarettes.

CMO Dr. Narendra Dev Sharma said that the viral video has been taken into consideration and with immediate effect, accused Dr. Suresh Chandra has been tied to the district headquarters and information about the viral video has been sent to the administration.

The CMO said that along with this, Assistant Chief Medical Officer SD Chaudhary has been ordered to investigate the case and after the report comes, departmental action will be started against the accused Dr. Suresh Chandra.
