Trump’s reciperook tariff threat of global trade war, impact on 180 countries including India and China


New Delhi:
There was a stir in the markets around the world, as the new tariff policy of US President Donald Trump came into force. This has led to the threat of global trade war. Trump has increased import duty on products coming from more than 180 countries and regions. The biggest impact of this decision is on countries like India, China and European Union.

Conflict with China increased, America imposed 104% tariff

The Trump government has imposed 104% tariff on Chinese goods, in response to which China also imposed a counter -tariff of 34%. The White House has described the move as ‘reciperook tariff’.

26% import tariff on India

The goods sent from India to America will now have 26% tariffs. Trump said that it is not easy to sell products in India, so this decision was taken. Apart from this, 29%has been imposed on Pakistan, 44%on Sri Lanka, 32%on Indonesia, 24%on Malaysia and 17%on Philippines.

Britain, Brazil, Singapore, Australia, UAE, New Zealand, Turkey, Colombia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Ukraine, Bahrain, Qatar, Kenya, Ghana, Lebanon, Tanzania, Uganda, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Maldives, Uzbekistan, Iceland, Oman, Al-Salavador, Arjantina.

Countries with 10-20% tariffs:

  • Jordan (20%)
  • European Union (20%)
  • Israel (17%)
  • Philippines (17%)
  • Norway (15%)
  • Venezuela (15%)
  • Nigeria (14%)

Countries with 20-30% tariff:

  • India (26%)
  • Pakistan (29%)
  • Malaysia (24%)
  • Japan (24%)
  • South Korea (25%)
  • Kazakhstan (27%)

Countries with 30-40% tariffs:

  • Thailand (36%)
  • Taiwan (32%)
  • Indonesia (32%)
  • Switzerland (31%)
  • South Africa (30%)

Countries with 40-50% tariffs:

  • Sri Lanka (44%)
  • Myanmar (44%)
  • Syria (41%)
  • Iraq (39%)
  • Gayana (38%)
  • Bangladesh (37%)
  • Serbia (37%)
  • Vietnam (46%)
  • Cambodia (49%)

Most tariffs on China, Russia and North Korea not tariffs

China has the highest 104% tariffs. The deception is that Russia, North Korea, Canada and Mexico have been excluded from this new list of Trump.
