US President Donald Trump has announced a tariff against all the countries of the world. With this, India has suffered a big setback from America. Donald Trump has imposed 26 percent tariff on India. However, the tariff imposed on India is less than other countries of the world. On this issue, expert Dr. Bharat Barai said on Tuesday that the currently applicable 26 percent tariff rate between the two countries may soon be reduced. He estimates that by the end of this year through mutual talks, the tariff can come within the range of 10 to 15 percent.
Dr. Barai said that the cut in tariff will affect the business structure of both countries positively. He said that this 26 percent tariff which is not 26 percent. The governments of both countries will reduce it with mutual consent. I believe that by the end of 2025 it will be limited from 10 to 15 percent.
He further explained the pattern of import-export between India and America. According to Dr. Barai, India has to shop more in areas such as defense equipment, aircraft, computers, electronics and software from the US. He said that it is possible that India can take more and more defense equipment from the US, while on the other hand, America has been importing more products like clothes, chemical products and pharmaceuticals than software from India.

Speaking about India, President Trump described the tariff imposed by New Delhi as “very strict”. India takes 52 percent charge from us, so we will take half -26 percent tariffs from them.”
