Playback singer Udit Narayan is in discussion about her viral video who kisses women fans. He took a sarcasm at himself during an event in the city on Monday (March 10). The trailer of the film ‘Pintu Ki Pappi’ was launched in this program and choreographer Ganesh Acharya was also present. Talking to the media, the singer said, “I would like to congratulate Ganesh ji. How well he has given the title. Actually you should change the title. ‘Pappi’ is fine but ‘Pintu’s puppy’? Hopefully it will not be ‘Udit’s puppy’.”
He added, “It is a coincidence that it is releasing. Well that video of mine is 2 years old. I would like to congratulate you. I would like to congratulate the whole team. The music is very good. Writing is very good. Writing is also very good. Everybody has praised the songs you have sung and recorded. But it is really commendable.”
The controversy arose after a video of Udit Narayan went viral last month. In this, he was seen kissing a woman fans taking a selfie during his show. In this video, Udit Narayan is seen performing on the famous song ‘Tip Tip Barsa Pani’ of ‘Mohra’ filmed on Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon, when a woman fans turned back and kissed her cheek.
Aditya Narayan’s father Udit Narayan did not comment on it. However, social media users expressed their anger. The 69 -year -old singer has sung songs in many other languages including Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Bengali, Sindhi, Oriya, Bhojpuri, Nepali, Malayalam, Assamese, Bagheli and Maithili. He has won four National Film Awards. The Government of India honored him with Padma Shri in 2009 and Padma Bhushan in 2016.
