A large number of foreign devotees will also be present here.
He said that preparations are being made on war footing for the last few months regarding Maha Kumbh. Infrastructure, equipment and manpower are all suitable. Our preparation is also good and we are trying to improve it further. This time special funds have been released for disaster management, fire safety and traffic. Interceptors have been deployed here. Tethered drones are also deployed in large numbers. Anti drone system has also been installed here.
He said that our water front has been strengthened this time compared to the previous Kumbh. The number and capacity of ghats in the fair area have been increased so that whatever route the devotees are coming from, they should take bath there and return through the prescribed route. We also have a very good coordination with the Railways.
He said that we are also working cautiously regarding cyber related matters. How to secure the cyber system has also been ensured through various efficient agencies.
Regarding terrorist threats and threats, the DGP said that our Para Commando team of ATS has reached here. We are considering all types of threats as serious, monitoring them and taking action through departmental coordination and control room. He said, the seven-round security of Maha Kumbh has been ensured and a security cordon has been prepared from the international and inter-state borders to the Kumbh area. Apart from this, 40 percent more forces have been deployed here than the previous Kumbh.
