Global brokerage firm Ventura has given the opinion of shopping in India’s largest private coal -based thermal power producer company Adani Power and retained its BUY rating. The firm has fixed a target price of ₹ 806 for the company, indicating a tremendous increase of 55% from the current market price.

Company ready for future growth

Adaani Power’s current installed capacity is 17.55 GW, and Ventura believes that the increased availability of coal and expansion of the company’s business is further strengthening its growth. The company has prepared itself for more development in future by continuously investing in its thermal power capacity.

The brokerage firm says that due to low prices of imported coal and better availability of domestic coal, the increasing demand for electricity has made significant improvement in the average PLF (Plant Load Factor) of Adani Power. It increased from 48% to H1FY25 in FY2023. It has reached 72%, which is its highest level in the last seven years. This great performance has strengthened the company’s revenue and operational profits.

A capacity of 30.67 GW by FY31

Ventura believes that Adani Power is fully prepared with its capacity expansion plans to meet the growing demand for electricity in the future. The company has targeted to achieve a total capacity of 30.67 GW by fY31 by continuously investing in its thermal power capacity. With this, the company’s stake is expected to increase from 6% to FY31 in FY24 to 11% in FY24 in the Thermal Power Sector of Indian Thermal Power Sector.
