Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Monday that nowadays wars are being fought not only on borders, but also on cyber, space, information and psychological fronts. In such a situation, it is necessary for the soldiers to be mentally strong, because the nation is not only protected from weapons, but also from strong personality, conscious consciousness and self -realization.
In a program organized at Brahmakumari’s headquarters, the Defense Minister said that while our soldiers should be skillful in war skills to deal with the constantly changing nature of war, while mental stability and spiritual empowerment should also be equally efficient. Physical strength is necessary for a soldier, as well as mental strength is equally important. Soldiers protect the nation by doing their work under difficult circumstances. The challenges of difficult situations are controlled through a strong internal energy.
The Defense Minister said that prolonged stress, uncertainty and working under difficult conditions can affect mental health, which needs to be strengthened internally. To improve the mental health of soldiers, the Brahmakumarij campaign is a commendable step in this direction. Given the current global geopolitical scenario, this initiative will further strengthen the minds of the soldiers.
Rajnath Singh said that through meditation, yoga, positive thinking and self-dialogue, self-change will provide mental, emotional and spiritual power to our brave soldiers. Self-transit is seed, nation-change is its fruit. In an atmosphere of global uncertainty, India can give a message that internal security and security of borders are possible simultaneously.
Describing spirituality and yoga in the culture of the country, the Defense Minister said that it is the biggest means to increase mental health and deal with stress, anxiety and emotional turmoil. Vigilant and strong security personnel become a lighted pillar for the nation, which can cope with any storm. He appreciated the Security Service Branch of the Brahmakumari’s organization to strengthen security forces through residential, regional and online programs and special campaigns.
In the presence of the Defense Minister, a memorandum was signed between the Ex -Servicemen Welfare Department of the Ministry of Defense and the Raja Yoga Education and Research Foundation of the headquarters of Brahmakumarij. Its objective is to guide the beneficiaries of ex -servicemen and contributory health scheme to provide better mental health and reduce dependence on medicines.
