Competition is not a bad thing, but it should never be turned into a struggle. ”

On India-China relation

PM Modi said that relations between India and China are not new. The culture and civilizations of both countries are ancient. He said, “Even in the modern world, they play an important role. If you look at the historical record, India and China have learned from each other for centuries. Together, he has always contributed to the global good. Old records show that at one time India and China alone had more than 50 percent of the world’s GDP. What a big contribution of India was. I believe that our relations with deep cultural relations have been very strong. ”

During the conversation that lasted for more than three hours, the Prime Minister said that if we look back centuries, there is no real history of conflict between India and China. He said, “It has always been about learning from each other and understanding each other. At one time, Buddhism had a profound influence in China and that philosophy originated in India. In future also our relations should be equally strong and keep moving forward. Differences are natural. When there are two neighboring countries, there is sometimes disagreement.

The Prime Minister said that everything in the family is not right, but our effort is to ensure that differences are not transformed into dispute. He said, “Therefore we are actively working towards dialogue. Instead of controversy, we insist on dialogue, because only through dialogue we can create a permanent cooperative relationship, which meets the best interests of both countries. ”
