NASA’s long -time astronauts Wilmore and Williams left for ISS on 5 June 2024 for eight days of stay on Boeing Starelineer. His spacecraft faced many technical problems while going into space. Due to this, NASA declared Starlineer very risky to take astronauts back home. In September, the spacecraft returned to Earth without its crew, which left both astronauts there.
Now, the US space agency NASA is planning to bring back both its astronauts to the Earth on 19 or 20 March, but will now return to the crew-9 returning flight with the help of SpaceX of billionaire Allen Musk.
Alan Musk and Donald Trump’s claims
Controversy has arisen even when both astronauts stayed in space for a long time. Alan Musk has claimed that astronauts were released into space for political reasons and did not attempt to return. US President Donald Trump also reiterated Musk’s claim that the Biden administration was deliberately delaying the return of astronauts.

Williams and Wilmore answer
However, both Williams and Wilmore ignored this political rhetoric with decency. When asked to comment on the matter, Williams said on Thursday, “We know what we have lived here.” He said, “We respect every person who tries to bring us back home.” Meanwhile, Wilmore said that he and Williams were not given any information about what the Biden administration is doing to bring us back and hence he believes in Musk’s claim. Wilmore said, “This is such information that we do not have, so I believe them.”
