What does India look like with space? When four decades ago, Indian astronaut Rakesh Sharma was asked by the immediate PM Indira Gandhi, he had repeated Muhammad Iqbal’s line “Saare Jahan Se Achhe” in response. Now the same question was asked to Sunita Williams, a astronaut of Indian origin.
Sunita, who came after spending 286 days in space, was asked what India looks like from space, he replied, “Amazing, absolutely amazing.” Williams said, “India is amazing. Whenever we passed over the Himalayas, Buch (Buch Wilmor is his fellow astronaut) received incredible pictures, this is absolutely surprising.”
Indian -origin American space Sunita Williams often talk about her Indian roots. He was seen in the inter -Himalayas from the fishing fleet in the west of India to the huge Himalayas in the north. It was a house away from home for him.
He told, “I have mentioned this like this wave first when the plates collided and then, as soon as it flows in India, it is in many colors. 59 -year -old Sunita Williams is also excited about NASA’s upcoming Acome Mission which will take four astronauts into space. These include Indian Air Force Test Pilot and ISRO astronaut Subhanshu Shukla.
He said, “This is great. He will have a hometown hero, his own who will be able to talk about how amazing the international space station is from his perspective.”
Williams was also asked if she would help in India’s Space Flight Program. He replied, “I hope we can meet at some time and share our experiences with more and more people in India. Why is it possible because it is a great country and another amazing democracy. He is trying to set his foot in space countries and will like to be a part and help them.”
