Let us tell you, before the Melbourne Test the series was tied at 1-1. India had won in Perth, while it had to face defeat in Adelaide. The Gaba Test was drawn due to rain. However, Australia won this match and took a 2-1 lead in the series.

There was a lot of uproar regarding the clash between Sam Constus and Virat Kohli in the Melbourne Test. Although Sam Constance had not given much importance to this matter then, but the Australian media and former players of the team had opened a front against Kohli in this matter. In the same test, Constance had scored 18 runs in one over of Bumrah. Konstas scored 34 out of his 60 runs only on Bumrah’s balls.

The clash between Sam Constance and Virat Kohli had created an atmosphere for a classic test match. Kontas has now broken his silence on this incident. Sam Constas while talking to Code Sports said that he told Virat that he considers him his idol and it is an honor to play against him.

It was pretty surreal.”

Constas revealed that Virat is a “down to earth” person and wished him all the best if he is selected for the Sri Lanka tour to be held in January-February this year. He said, “He is a very polite person. A lovely person and he wished me all the best and said that hopefully I will go well on the Sri Lanka tour if I am there.” He concluded, “My entire family loves Virat. I have idolized him since a young age and he is a legend of the game.”

Constas had a good performance in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series, scoring 113 runs in four innings at an average of 28.25 and a strike rate of over 81 with scores of 60, 8, 23 and 22.
