Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan have never worked together in a film. Both superstars shared the screen in 1993 in 1993 in director Ashutosh Gowariker’s first film Pahil Drug. The film has a dream sequence of its lead actor Deepak Tijori in this film in which he imagine that Shah Rukh, Aamir, Saif Ali Khan, Rahul Roy and Sudesh Berry are coming to his birthday party. Ashutosh Gowariker told in an old interview to Bollywood Hungama, how he managed to bring all the stars together.
When he said, “They were all my costers. With Aamir, I did Holi (1984) and with Shah Rukh, I worked in Circus (1992), Miracle (1992) and Kabhi Yes Kabhi Na (1993). They all knew that I was very interested in the direction. So when I was going on the floor with my first film and I had a lot of fun, we all came together and we had a lot of fun.”

When the film maker was specifically asked how Shah Rukh and Aamir agreed for the film, they said, “Both of them had already met many times. They came together saying ‘Ashu’s picture’ and also because Deepak was being launched as the lead actor.”
Gowariker directed Aamir to Lagaan in 2001 and Shah Rukh in 2004. Deepak Tijori also talked about the scene in an interview with the same portal. He said, “The picture of Mary, Shah Rukh, Aamir, Rahul Roy, Pooja, Raveena and Sudesh Berry has become a clot. They all came to shoot the scene because they were all friends. In those days we used to support each other. We used to go to each other’s premiere. Gradually, this work is done now.
