When Sunny Deol’s film was ruined by producer, Sunil Shetty, Sohail Khan and John Abraham also came to the eye

New Delhi:
Film director and choreographer Ahmed Khan shared a special thing about his film ‘Lakir-Forbidden Lines’ in an interview recently. He told that Sunny Deol agreed to work in the film ‘Lakir’ without listening to the entire script. This action-drama film ‘Lakir-Forbidden Lines’ was released in the year 2004. Talking about the film, Ahmed said, “Sunny and I have been friends for decades, and they always mean a lot to me. When I was directing my first film, I got a call from Sunny Deol’s office. I was playing football at that time. When I went to meet him after receiving the call, I immediately made ‘yes’ for the film without getting a call, I immediately did ‘yes’ for the film.

Ahmed said, “I did not need to narrate the whole script. I only presented a glimpse of the story, and Sunny liked the idea so much that he filled the hand to do the film. He asked his team to fix the shooting dates as soon as possible.” Apart from Sunny Deol, Sunil Shetty, John Abraham, Sohail Khan and Nauhid Sirusi were in lead roles in the film. The music of the film AR Rahman was given, one of the most famous musicians of India. At the same time, the background music was prepared by Adesh Srivastava.

Significantly, Ahmed Khan became bankrupt after flopping ‘Lakir-Forbidden Lines’. He had stopped taking choreography work and saved his lifetime under the film direction. When his money was over, he contacted the manufacturers for work and started working as choreographers again. The story of the film revolves around two characters Karan and Sahil. While Karan is the brother of a powerful man, Sahil’s brother is one and he is a boy of simple and honest nature. The turn in the story comes when both of them lose heart on a girl named Bindiya.

Talking about the workfront, Sunny is currently busy shooting for ‘Border 2’. The film also stars Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahaan Shetty in the lead roles. Directed by Anurag Singh, the film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Dutta, while Shiva Channa and Binoy Gandhi are co-producers. This is the sequel to the 1997 hit film ‘Border’. ‘Border 2’ is scheduled to release in theaters on January 23, 2026.
