After a long time, the prices of vegetables have come down from the sky in Delhi. These days, there is an abundance of seasonal vegetables in the vegetable markets of Delhi. The reason behind this spring is not only the fresh green vegetables of the winter season, but also the decline in their prices. The prices of Cauliflower, a vegetable especially liked by the common middle class people, have surprisingly come down a lot. Cauliflower is available in the weekly vegetable markets of the capital at the price of Rs 10 per kg.
Common people in the capital Delhi were worried due to expensive vegetables for a long time. Last year, when the prices of vegetables increased during the summer season, they kept increasing instead of coming down during the rainy season. Vegetables like garlic and onion, which are an essential part of daily diet, became so expensive that people had to survive without them. However, the prices of some other vegetables including garlic are still sky high.
As often happens, there is a vigorous production of green vegetables in winter and its effect is visible in the markets. Since the arrival of vegetables is good, their prices have also decreased. That means the current prices of vegetables are providing relief to the middle and lower class and are not spoiling their budget.
Many varieties of vegetables including peas, tomatoes, cabbage, cabbage, greens, carrots, radish, beans are available in the vegetable markets. According to an estimate, the prices of seasonal vegetables in the vegetable markets of Delhi and NCR have come down by 50 percent compared to earlier. Cauliflower is being sold at Rs 6 to 10 per kg. Tomato 10 to 15 rupees per kg, fenugreek vegetable 15 to 20 rupees per kg, mustard greens 15 to 20, radish 15 to 20, peas 30 to 40, coriander leaves 10 to 15, beans 30 to 40, ginger 40 to 50, beetroot 30. Rs 40, green chilli Rs 50 to Rs 60, carrot Rs 10 20, Potato is being sold at the rate of 15 to 25 and Ghee is being sold at the rate of 10 to 20 rupees per kg. Due to reduction in the prices of vegetables, splendor has returned to the plates of common citizens.
