Who is Chinmay Devre?

The American Civil Liberty Union (ACLU) of Michigan has filed a case on behalf of these students. It said that Chinmay Devre first went to America with his family on H-4 dependent visa (dependent visa) in 2004. He and his family left America in 2008. Then later Chinmay returned to America with his family in 2014. After passing high school in Michigan, he took admission in Wayne State University under H-4 position.

21 -year -old graduation student Chinmay has been studying Computer Science at Ven State University since August 2021.

In May 2022, Devre was getting out of the H-4 states. Then he legally applied for permission to convert his visa into F-1 student status and he was allowed. His graduation will be completed in May 2025. He currently lives with his immediate family in Canton.

According to the case filed, Devre was never accused of any crime in America or he was not convicted in any case. In addition to running fast vehicles and parking (which he had immediately filled), he has not been accused of any civil violation, motor vehicle code violation, or immigration law violation. On 4 April, Wayne State University informed Chinmay Devre that his F-1 student’s states have been abolished in SEVIS. The email he has received said, “Our records show that your Sevis has been terminated this morning. The reason for the termination- fail to maintain states- the name of criminal record is found in the investigation and/or their visa has been canceled. The SEVIS record has been terminated.” Apart from this, no other details or allegations were given.
