US President Donald Trump’s billionaire colleague Elon Musk has indicated that he is planning to withdraw from his cost -cutting role in the Department of Department of Government Efficiency by the end of May. Earlier, he had reduced the US deficit to 1 trillion dollars, decreasing the current total federal spending level to about 6 trillion dollars.
The 53 -year -old Tesla chief and Doge’s several top ally met for “Special Report with Brett Bair”, where he talked about his work to improve America’s balance sheet and explained how he is getting closer to his target, which would make the annual federal deficit half.
Alan Musk, who is leading the cost-coting efforts of the US government, has been appointed as Special Advisor to President Trump. Musk said that he has completed the work. His team is working on an average “$ 4 billion per day” and has completed most of the work required to reduce the deficit by a trillion dollar within 130 days.
When asked how quickly he was expected to achieve the cost-cutting taregate, Musk told Bair, “I think we will complete most of the work required to reduce the deficit by a trillion dollar within 130 days.”
He said, “Our goal is to reduce the West and Fraud by $ 4 billion every day, seven days of the week, and so far, we are succeeding.”
This may mean that the work of the musk to lead the dog operation may end by the end of May.
The DOGE chief and seven members of his team – Aram Mogadasi, Steve Davis, Brad Smith, Anthony Armstrong, Joe Gabia, Tom Craus and Tyler Hasan explained their efforts to reduce the waste, fraud and misuse in different government agencies.
Musk said, “There is a lot of waste and fraud, so we are confident that any important government service can be reduced by 15 percent.”
According to DOGE’s estimates, the department’s efforts, including work cuts, sales and cancellation of contract, have saved US taxpayers $ 115 billion till 24 March.
Musk announced, “America will be a solvent. Important programs on which people depend on will work and it is going to be a great future. And yes, will we get a lot of complaints during this time?
Allen Musk’s statement about the removal of DOGE came amid nationwide protest against his electric vehicle company Tesla. Last month, Tesla’s share price saw a huge decline and the last Monday declined by more than 5 percent.
Talking to employees in Austin last Thursday, Musk admitted, “I am very stressed. I have about 17 responsibilities.”
Talking about the attacks targeting his company, he said that when he sees his coverage on TV, sometimes he feels ‘as Armagadon’
He told the employees, “There are times when difficult situations occur, a bit very stormy season is. But I have come to tell you that the future is incredibly bright and exciting, and we are going to do such things that I think no one would have thought in dreams.”
