But now, under the new proposal, this policy will also be expanded to those who are already living legally in the US and applying for a permanent residence or asking for refuge.
Trump government wants to stop criticisms?

In a notice issued on March 5, the Trump administration sought his opinion from the people on this plan. It states that the USCIS has wanted the applicants to know the names of their social media handle and the concerned social media platform to help in help in ID verification, national security and public safety screening.
