Jemimah rodrigues on wpl final: Delhi Capitals vice -captain Jemima Rodrigues said that the final league match and the Women’s Premier League (WPL) final will be beneficial for the team’s title fight as it is refreshed by the players. Delhi Capitals entered the third consecutive WPL final after losing to Royal Bangalore in the final league match of Mumbai Indians.
The league campaign of Delhi Capitals ended on March 7, in which it lost to Gujarat giants. That is why they had to wait for the match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore to decide on the winner of the group.
Rodrigues said in a virtual press conference on Thursday, “This break is doing a good job for our team. We have done a lot of sessions between the players of the team, which gave them a good time to keep pace with each other. Also this time this WPL was a little busy for us. We had also played a lot of matches and we also traveled a lot.”
Rodrigues said that Delhi Capitals have conducted a lot of training sessions in the last six days, so that the team will be in good condition. He said, “I think and the team is also seeing it that this break is proving beneficial for us.” The team of Delhi Capitals will be in front of the winner of the match between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat giants in the title collision on March 15.
