CM Devendra Fadnavis has been praised for taking a tough stand against corruption in Saamana’s editorial. In this, the stand adopted by CM Fadnavis has been appreciated for not approving the appointments of tainted background PS and OSD. This is not the first time Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece Saamana has praised CM Devendra Fadnavis. Today’s editorial has alleged that CM Fadnavis has taken a tough stand against corruption during Eknath Shinde’s tenure, while Shinde’s Chief Collector – Ashra Private Limited has fled to Dubai with 10,000 crores.
The editorial further claimed that DCM Eknath Shinde had met Amit Shah in Pune at 4 am to complain about the attitude of Devendra Fadnavis.
What is written in the editorial of Saamana?
- Devendra Fadnavis has taken strict steps to bring discipline in governance. In the last three years, the gutter of corruption has flowed, due to which the politics of the state like Maharashtra rotated and economic indiscipline reached the peak.
- The latest news is that Shinde’s Chief Collector Asher Pvt. Limited has fled to Dubai with ten thousand crores rupees as Chief Minister Fadnavis has decided to clean all these dirty drains who spread dirt in Maharashtra.
- Fadnavis did another important work as Chief Minister. The powers of ministers appointing ‘PA’ and ‘OSD’ have been taken away. Of the names of ‘PA’ and ‘OSD’ were sent to the Chief Minister by ministers, 16 names were directly rejected by the Chief Minister. Because these 16 people were brokerage and fixing by becoming the ‘OSD’ of ministers in the previous Shinde government. All these ‘fixers’ were rejected by Chief Minister Fadnavis. The role of the Chief Minister is appropriate to not allow the appointment of ‘fixer’. Now it has been revealed that 12 out of these 16 fixers were suggested by the ministers of Shinde faction.
- Contractor organizations say that about 90 thousand crore rupees are owed to government work. Out of this 90 thousand crore, 25 thousand crore rupees have been taken as ‘brokerage’. (Report of Abhishek Awasthi)
