"Columbia University cheated me": Indian student heard her ‘self -defood’ from America

Ranjini Srinivasan has now heard her tragedy and said that she has been ‘cheated’ by her Alma Mater – the famous Columbia University. In an interview to Al Jazeera, Srinivasan said, “I worked for five years at Columbia University, I don’t know, sometimes even 100 hours a week. I never thought that the institute would disappoint me. But it happened.”

He said, “I hope Colombia will come to his senses and nominate me again. All the requirements for my PhD are fulfilled, and whatever is left, I do not even need to live in America.”

Actually Ranjini Srinivasan was doing PhD from Columbia University in America. The Homeland Security Department said in a statement that Indian citizen Ranjani Srinivasan had ventured into the US as a doctoral student in urban planning at Columbia University on F-1 student visa. Ranjini was involved in the activities supporting terrorist organization Hamas and the Foreign Department canceled her visa on 5 March. Srinivasan moved to Canada after her student visa was canceled.

What happened that day

Srinivasan recalled how he received an email from the US Consulate on 5 March stating that his student visa had been canceled indefinitely. Within a few hours, when she was trying to understand what happened by contacting Colombia and her PhD group officials what happened, agents of immigration and customs enforcement of the United States came to her door. But he did not open the door.

The next evening, when she was not at home, the agent came back and started calling her. A few hours later, Mahmud Khalil, another student from Colombia, was detained on the campus, causing unrest between the students and the officials. Srinivasan said that she was able to run away with her arrest, with her documents, essential commodities and some valuables full of valuables. While she was running, the agents were constantly looking for her. On March 11, after dodging the authorities, she somehow managed to fly from New York to Canada. Fearing being arrested in America

In the CCTV footage of Lagardia Airport in New York, he was shown carrying a bag full of his luggage. The footage was shared widely on social media. Srinivasan told that he was afraid of being arrested in America. Four days later, Christie NoM, Secretary, US Home Safety Department, called him a “supporter” in a post on X.

The US Donald Trump administration had announced the immediate cancellation of federal grants and contracts of about US $ 40 million to Columbia University due to “inactivity of the university for continuous harassment of Jewish students” last week.

No comments have been made by the University of Columbia on this entire incident yet. Srinivasan is currently in Canada
