YouTuber put under digital arrest for 40 hours: Recently a famous YouTuber became a victim of digital arrest scam. YouTuber himself revealed this through his social media account. The name of the YouTuber is Ankush Bahuguna, who told through a post on his Instagram account on Sunday that he was held hostage for about 40 hours. Along with this he told how the scammers manipulated him. According to Ankush, he has suffered a loss of money and mental health due to this scam. Now Ankush, who was a victim of the digital arrest scam, is making people aware, so that no one else like him becomes a victim of this scam.

While sharing the post on Instagram, YouTuber said that he remained missing from social media platforms for the last 3 days. Ankush told that, he has lost not only his money but also his mental health. The YouTuber said, ‘I cannot believe that this has happened to me. Sharing this so that no one else gets trapped like me. I am lucky that I have friends to whom I just messaged ‘I’m fine’ and they understood my behavior. Ankush is now making people aware, so that what happened to him does not happen to anyone else.

Through his social media post, YouTuber told that, after returning from the gym, he got a call from a strange number, which started with +1. He thought it would be an automated call, but as soon as he picked up he was told, ‘Your courier delivery has been cancelled, press zero for help.’ On this I said, I ordered something, but I pressed zero and this proved to be the biggest mistake of my life. On the call, the person in front said, ‘Sir, illegal goods have been detected in your package.’

The person present on the call told the YouTuber that the parcel sent by him to China has been confiscated by the Customs Department. On hearing this, the YouTuber said out of fear, ‘I have not sent anything.’ The person on the other end said, it has your name, Aadhaar number and other personal details on it. The person further said that this is a very serious crime. Now you will be a digital arrest, there is already an arrest warrant in your name. Along with this, the YouTuber was asked to talk to the police within an hour. The YouTuber got scared after hearing all this. The YouTuber told that the person on the call assured him that there was not much time and he could directly connect me to the police station and get me help.

The YouTuber said that within no time the call turned into a WhatsApp call and a video call with a police officer started. The fake policeman wearing uniform scared the YouTuber and said that he is involved in money laundering, drug smuggling and many other ‘very serious crimes’.
