On 5 April (Saturday), Banton scored an unbeaten 344 on the second day of the match against Warsestershair. The right -handed batsman overtook the record of former Australian opener Justin Langer, who scored 342 runs against Surrey in 2006. Not only this, Tom Banton has surpassed Vivian Richards. Viv Richards – Cricket Player West Indies scored 322 runs in 1985 against Warvikshire.

In the first two days of the game for the Samarset, Banton scored 344 off 381 balls, in his marathon innings, he hit 53 fours and a six. This right -handed batter broke this record on the final ball of the day’s game when he hit a four off Kashif Ali’s ball. The right -handed batsman with James Reve shared a 371 -run partnership which set a record for the biggest partnership in the history of the club, by doing so, the two broke the 320 -run partnership between John Francis and Ian Blackwell against Durham UCCE in 2005.

Bantton started by 84 runs on the second day of the match and scored 260 runs on the second day, helping the right -handed batsman to cross the great record. If she continues to score at the same pace, then there is a possibility that this right -hand batsman can also be able to score 400 runs. If Banton was successful in doing this, then he can become the first batsman of the Samarset to reach this historical score.
