Harshvardhan Sapkal becomes the new president of Maharashtra Congress, Nana Patole will take place


There has been a big change in Maharashtra Congress. Harshvardhan Sapkal has become the new president of Maharashtra Congress. The Congress high command appointed Harshvardhan Vasantrao Sapkal as the new president in place of Nana Patole. Nana Patole resigned after the defeat in the Maharashtra assembly elections.

Harshvardhan is the senior leader of Sapkal Congress. In 20214, Harshvardhan became an MLA from Buldhana seat. However, he lost the election in 2019.

The country’s oldest party Congress has been the worst in the Maharashtra assembly elections so far. The Congress, fought in 101 seats in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, won only 16 seats and got 12.42 votes percentage votes.
