Isha Koppikar, the famous 90s actress known as ‘Khallas Girl’, had once accused big Bollywood actors and producers of casting couch. The actress had revealed this in an interview, after which she remained in the news for a long time. Actress Isha Koppikar, who made her Bollywood debut with the film ‘Fiza’, had to face casting couch at the age of just 18. The problem of casting couch has been going on in the Bollywood industry for decades, in which an actor or actress is forced to have physical relations in exchange for a role in the film. Till now many big directors, actors and producers have been accused of casting couch.

Accusations against big actors and producers

In an interview, Isha Koppikar, without disclosing her name, had accused a film producer of forcing her for casting couch. He had told in the interview that the producer asked him to call an actor asking him to get into the good books of actors. When Isha called, the actor called her to meet her in the middle of dubbing. When asked by the actor, Isha told that she will come with her driver. On this the actor asked her to come alone. On the matter of meeting her alone, Isha said that she is not free tomorrow, she will tell later. After this the actress immediately called the producer and asked him to cast her for her acting.

‘Used to touch inappropriately’

Isha had told in a talk show that many times directors’ secretaries used to touch her inappropriately. Isha was approached for the casting couch by a secretary and an actor, who told the actress that she had to be ‘friendly’ with the actors. At that time, it was the initial phase of Isha’s Bollywood career and she was only 17-18 years old. Isha made her debut in the year 2000 with the film Fiza. After this, she appeared in films like ‘Darna Mana Hai’, ’36 China Town’, ‘Pinjar’, ‘Hum Tum’, ‘Krishna Cottage’ and ‘Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi’. Songs like ‘Khallas’ and ‘Ishq Samundar’ gave Isha a lot of popularity.
