India criticized Pakistan for ‘unfair’ mention of Jammu and Kashmir in UNGA

India’s permanent representative Ambassador to the United Nations P Harish.

United Nations:
India criticized Pakistan for the “inappropriate” mention of Jammu and Kashmir at the United Nations General Assembly, as well as said that such comments neither legalize Pakistan’s claims nor its activities of terrorism across the border. His habit is, the former Foreign Secretary of Pakistan has given unfair reference to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir today.

Harish said that by repeated mentioning from Pakistan, “neither its claims are valid nor its activities of terrorism across the border justified.” He said, “The history of that country’s radical mentality and bigotry is well known. Such efforts will not change the reality that Jammu and Kashmir was an integral part of India, and will always be.

In fact, in an informal meeting of the General Assembly on ‘International Day to Combat Islamophobia’, former Foreign Secretary of Pakistan Tehmeena Janjua mentioned Jammu and Kashmir after which Harish reacted strongly.
