Former India captain MS Dhoni and Bollywood star Sunny Deol were seen watching the ongoing India-Pakistan match on TV together in the 2025 Champions Trophy. Star Sports uploaded a video on their social media channels. In this video, Dhoni was seen watching a high-octane match wearing a yellow T-shirt in front of the TV screen. Deol soon came and joined him and hugged Dhoni before sitting together to watch the match.

Star Sports wrote it with a stunned caption, “Two and a half kilos of hand and Tala’s finishinga Sunny Paaji’s Raw Power, Tala meets Tala’s magnificent finishing touch – it comes out directly from a blockbuster script! “

The video seems to be from the time when Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel were batting together in the first innings of the match. Babar Azam was the first wicket to be dismissed for 23 runs against Hardik Pandya. Babur’s opening partner Imam-ul-Haq soon followed him, because in the next over, Akshar Patel’s direct hit dismissed him from the crease before. Rizwan and Shakeel shared a slow but stable 104 -run partnership till the 34th over. But it put a lot of pressure on both of them to change the speed.

India took advantage of this and Patel cleaned Rizwan and Shakeel poured against Pandya on Deep Square leg. Soon after, Ravindra Jadeja bowled Tayyab Tahir on a beautiful ball and brought Pakistan to 165/5 in 36.1 overs.

Dhoni was playing competition in May last season (2024). Chennai Super Kings (CSK) retained him as an uncapormed player for the upcoming IPL 2025 season and he will be seen wicketkeeping and batting for the team from 23 March.
