On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivaratri, a huge crowd of devotees is thronging the Shiva temples across the country, where devotees are gathering to see Lord Shiva and worship them. Mangala Aarti has been performed in Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Keeping the crowd in mind, the administration has made special arrangements for security arrangements. Police and other security agencies have been deployed, so that the safety of the devotees can be ensured.

Mahashivaratri is the day when you can make Bholenath more pleased by offering dear materials. It is believed that in this festival celebrated as the anniversary of the marriage of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati, offering milk, curd with curd and offering some more special materials fulfills wishes and gives special blessings to God.

Mahashivaratri means Shiva i.e. welfare night. Ganga water, cow’s milk, curd, honey and sugar should be offered on Shivling during Pradosh period. Baba does not make up on Mahashivaratri, worship is done overnight and Mahadev’s marriage is done. The alliance of Panchshul is also recognized, by doing so, desire is fulfilled.
