Actually, 308 measles patients have appeared in America so far this year. While just two and a half months of 2025 have been spent. Last year, in 2024, 285 measles cases were reported in the US in the entire 12 months. In such a situation, the number of patients found in 12 months last year has crossed this time in only two and a half months.
50 patients had to be admitted, two died
According to the report, so far 50 patients have to be hospitalized, while two people have died. Texas have seen a boom in measles cases since January. Till Friday, 259 cases were confirmed there, out of which 34 patients have been admitted to the hospital.
The Texas Department of State Health Services has issued a warning regarding measles. According to which the outbreak of highly infectious disease is increasing rapidly and its number may increase further in the coming days.
Measles highly infectious viral infection

According to the report of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), a third of the world’s total measles cases were recorded in the European region. More than 40 percent of the total cases reported in these 53 countries (Europe) were found in children below five years.

According to the report, more than half of the measles infected people had to be hospitalized and so far 38 deaths have been confirmed. In 1997, 2,16,000 measles cases were reported in Europe, but by 2016 the number had come down to 4,440. However, it increased again in 2018 and 2019 and 89,000 and 1,06,000 cases were registered respectively.
