
The Prime Minister’s Museum and Library (PMML) Society has been reconstituted and former Union Minister Smriti Irani has been appointed as its member. His tenure will be for the next five years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the President of the Society, while Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will be its Vice President.
Apart from Smriti Irani, famous film director Shekhar Kapoor will also be a member of this society. Apart from this, economist Sanjeev Sanyal, member of the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council, archaeologist KK Muhammad and educationist Chamu Krishna Shastri have also been made members.
Former Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog Rajiv Kumar, retired General Syed Ata Hasnain and Vasudev Kamat of Sanskar Bharti have also been made members in this society. Other important members include the names of Prasoon Joshi, ICHR chief Raghuvendra Tanwar, Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi, Vaman Kendra and Harmohinder Singh Bedi.
Nripendra Mishra will continue as the Chairman of the Executive Council of PMML. The objective of this new team is to promote the development and work of the Prime Minister Museum and Library.
