
Tom latham creates history: Tom Latham has created history. He has become the third wicketkeeper player in the world to score a century in the ICC Champions Trophy. Prior to Latham, this special achievement was recorded only by former wicketkeeper batsman Andy Flower and former wicketkeeper player Kumar Sangakkara of Zimbabwe cricket team. New Zealand has targeted 321 runs to win in front of Pakistan
Batting first after losing the toss in Karachi, New Zealand team has managed to score 320 runs against Pakistan at the loss of five wickets in 50 overs. While starting the innings, Will Young (107) and Tom Latham (118 not out) managed to score a century while batting in the middle order.
Apart from these two batsmen, Glenn Philips, while batting on the sixth order, fast scored 61 runs. Due to which Kiwi managed to cross the 300 figure. Opposition team Pakistan has got a target of 321 runs to win this match.
Nasim Shah and Haris Rauf took 2-2 wickets
For Pakistan, Nasim Shah and Haris Rauf were the most successful bowlers against New Zealand. Both these bowlers took two wickets each respectively. Apart from these, a success came in Abrar Ahmed’s account.
