Rajasthan: 15 monkeys died after consuming poisonous substance in Sirohi, people demanded investigation


A shocking case of death of 10 to 15 monkeys simultaneously has come to light in Amlari village located in Nagadi of Sirohi district. Local people first saw one or two monkeys dead, after which with the help of social workers, 15 monkeys were found and buried. After this, when the news of death of 10 to 15 monkeys spread among the people, a crowd of villagers also gathered at the spot and started searching for the monkeys at other places.

After this, the villagers also informed the veterinary team and the veterinary team also reached the spot and started investigating it. Also, as soon as information about the death of monkeys was received, the Forest Department team also reached the spot. Due to the agricultural wells located in Amlari village, there are a large number of monkeys there, regarding which a report was filed by the Gram Panchayat at Kalandri police station and it was also mentioned about the presence of a group of 70 monkeys. After the death of the monkeys, when people started going here and there in the morning, many monkeys were found lying dead.

The report confirmed that he was killed by giving poisonous substance.

Some of the dead monkeys found in Amlari village were in an unconscious state and were on the verge of dying and were sent ahead, but people on the spot said that foam was also coming out of the mouths of the monkeys who were writhing in unconsciousness. From the foam coming out of the mouth it seemed that someone had given poisonous substance to the monkeys. Although the cause of death could not be confirmed from the spot, it has been said in the villagers and Gram Panchayat reports that someone has killed the monkeys by giving them poison. Regarding filing the report, a report was given to Kalandri police station officer Tikaram on behalf of the Gram Panchayat.

The children who reached the school got the first information that monkeys were hanging on the tree.

The school children were the first to know about the dead monkeys. This is because when the children reached school, they saw a monkey falling down from the tree and when they went closer, they came to know that it was dead. After this the children looked at the tree and found some monkeys dead. After this the villagers started searching. It is being told that a group of about 60 to 70 monkeys were roaming in the village, but when the villagers looked on Tuesday morning, they did not see a single monkey.
