Retail inflation declined slight to 3.34 percent in March

People suffering from rising inflation in the country have got some relief. There has been a decrease in inflation in the month of March in the country and there has been a slight decline in retail inflation. According to government data released on Tuesday, retail inflation was 3.34 percent in March, which was earlier 3.61 percent in February. With this, retail inflation has reached a 6 -year low in March. This decline has been recorded due to the fall in prices of vegetables and protein -rich goods.

In February, the consumer price index based inflation was 3.61 percent. At the same time, 4.85 percent was recorded in March last year.

Inflation in March 2025 is the lowest since August 2019. Inflation was 3.28 percent in August 2019. Food inflation was 2.69 percent in March, compared to 3.75 percent in February and 8.52 percent in March 2024.
