Bollywood’s ‘Singham’ Ajay Devgan is the star of the 90s who came on screen around the time of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Aamir. Ajay Devgan’s debut was the most powerful and hit as compared to all these stars of the 90s. In 1991, Ajay knocked into Bollywood with action romantic film Phool Aur Kaante. The film’s songs and the actors’ action on two bikes are still popular. The following year, Ajay had done a martial arts film Jigar, which became a super hit and after that his career froze. Ajay has been more than three decades in Bollywood and during this time the actor also rejected many films which proved to be a blockbuster.

Karan Arjun (1995)
Karan-Arjun, a blockbuster film of Rakesh Roshan’s career, is a Calt Classic film. This was the first time when Shah Rukh and Salman Khan came together on screen. Shahrukh played the role of Arjun and Salman. Rakesh Roshan had first chosen Ajay for Karan’s role. Ajay rejected it by not telling the script of the film to be strong.
Something happens (1998)
Karan Johar needed a special actor for a special role in the film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Karan Johar went to all the actors for this role and but did not meet Salman. Later Salman himself called Karan and said, ‘There is more search left or do I go today? Karan Johar was very happy on this. Salman got the role of Aman Verma, which was rejected by many actors including Ajay Devgan. Salman also received the Filmfare Award for the supporting role.
Suryavansham (1999)
Every week, the role of Bhanu Pratap’s son Heera Thakur in the Amitabh Bachchan starrer film Suryavansham coming on TV was first offered to Ajay Devgan, but ‘Singham’ refused to do this role, after which Amitabh himself played his own son. The film was beaten, but due to repeated coming on TV, this film has become very popular, on which mimes are also made.
Bajirao Mastani (2015)
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Bajirao Mastani is a hit film in which Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra worked. Before Ranveer, Sanjay had chosen Ajay for a role for Bajirao, but the actor refused to do the film due to some problems related to dates and scripts.
Padmavat (2018)
Sanjay Leela Bhansali also offered an important role to Ajay Devgan for the film Padmavat after Bajirao Mastani. Shahid Kapoor played Maharawal Ratna Singh in the film, who was earlier offered to Ajay Devgan. ‘Singham’ did not like this character. Let me tell you, Padmavat is also one of the hit films of Bhansali Gharana.
