Arrest warrant against Sonu Sood
New Delhi:
A court in Ludhiana, Punjab has issued an arrest warrant against Bollywood actor Sonu Sood in the alleged fraud case. The warrant was released by Ludhiana Judicial Magistrate Ramanpreet Kaur. Rajesh Khanna, a lawyer from Ludhiana, has filed a case related to fraud of alleged ₹ 10 lakh. He alleged that the main accused Mohit Shukla lured him to invest in a fake Rizika Coin. The court summoned Sonu Sood to testify in the case but did not appear on acton summons. Due to this, Judicial Magistrate Ramanpreet Kaur of Ludhiana issued a warrant.
The Ludhiana court, in its order, directed the officer in charge of Oshiwara police station in Andheri West, Mumbai to arrest Sonu Sood. According to the report by news agency ANI, the order states, “Sonu Sood, Resident Housing No. 605/606 Casiylanca apartment has been duly issued or warrant but it did not appear. You are ordered that you are ordered that you Sonu Sood Arrest and present before the court. ”
The next hearing of the case has been scheduled on 10 February. A few days before the arrest warrant was issued, Sonu Sood met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and donated four ambulances to strengthen health services in the state on Monday (3 February). The ‘Fateh’ actor expressed his gratitude and respect to CM Naidu for his support and guidance to the Sood Charity Foundation as he continues to work in the direction of a healthy India.
On his Instagram handle, Sonu shared several pictures with Naidu, in which he was seen greeting CM and posing with him for pictures. He wrote with pictures, “Ambulances are important in saving life, and I am happy to start this journey to ensure timely treatment by donating four ambulances to the state of Andhra Pradesh. Heartfelt thanks to @NCBN.OFFICIAL Sir for support and guidance to continue our efforts. “
