During a training exercise of South Korea’s Air Force, a major lapse occurred on Thursday, when a fighter aircraft accidentally dropped eight bombs at the wrong place. Many citizens were injured in this incident. The Air Force has confirmed this accident and described it as unfortunate.
According to the Airforce, the incident occurred when eight MK-82 bombs were unknowingly missed by the KF-16 fighter aircraft. These bombs fell out of the prescribed firing range, resulting in damage in the surrounding area and injuries to the citizens. The Air Force clarified that it was a human or technical mistake, which has been investigated.
The Air Force spokesman issued a statement saying, “We have a deep regret on the incident. We express condolences to the affected people. Assessment of the exact number and loss of the injured is still going on, but in the initial reports, many people have been injured.
