KS Bharat Play for England Club: Indian wicketkeeper-batsman KS Bharat was not sold in the IPL mega auction last year and he will now play for a club in England in the hope of re-grooming his red-ball career. Bharat will now represent the Dulwich CC team in the Surrey Championship Premier Division starting in April. Talking about Bharat’s international and domestic cricket career, Bharat has so far played 7 Test matches for India, in which he has scored 221 runs and has dismissed 19 batsmen from behind the wicket which includes (18 catches and 1 stumping). Talking about domestic cricket, they play with the team of Andhra Pradesh. His performance in first -class cricket has been good, where he has scored 5686 runs in 105 matches at an average of 36.44. He has 10 centuries and 32 half -centuries.
KS Bharat did a big feat in Ranji Trophy
Bharat first came into the limelight when he scored a triple century in the Ranji Trophy and became the first wicketkeeper-batsman to do this feat in the Ranji Trophy. Talking about the place in India’s Test team, it is still in danger for Bharat.
Bharat made it to the Indian team’s playing XI in the ICC World Test Championship final in 2023, but India lost to Australia. In that match, he scored 28 runs and caught 5 catches. However, now due to the return of Rishabh Pant in the Test team and the good performance of young Dhruv Juril, Bharat has become weak. In the recently concluded Ranji Trophy season, he played just two matches and scored a half -century in four innings and he caught 9 catches in wicketkeeping.
KS Bharat included in the list of Indian cricketers playing in England
KS Bharat has now joined the list of Indian cricketers who have been playing for various England clubs. Earlier, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Venkatesh Iyer and Yuzvendra Chahal have also played county cricket. This year Shardul Thakur has tied up with Essex and he will be seen playing in England in the coming season.
With this decision of Bharat, he will get a chance to reinforce his red-ball career and he can find a new way to return to the Test team.
