Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has condemned Maharashtra Minister Nitish Rana’s statement on the southern state as a “mini Pakistan”. He described the statement as “extremely malicious” and “extremely condemnable” and said it reflected a hate campaign against Kerala.
Vijayan condemned the statement of BJP minister by posting
Posting on Twitter, Vijayan wrote, “Maharashtra Fisheries and Ports Minister Nitish Rane’s derogatory comment terming Kerala as ‘mini Pakistan’ is extremely malicious and condemnable. Such rhetoric is against Kerala, the bastion of secularism and communal harmony.” We strongly condemn this despicable attack on Kerala and all democratic and secular forces. Call for unity against the hateful propaganda of Sangh Parivar.”
Nitesh Rane is the son of former Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
Nitish Rane, 42, son of former Maharashtra Chief Minister and BJP leader Narayan Rane, is holding the charge of departments like fisheries and port development in the Devendra Fadnavis government. Nitish Rane, while targeting Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, had said that both of them won from Wayanad in Kerala because it is ‘mini Pakistan’. He had said, “Kerala is mini Pakistan and that is why Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were elected from there. All terrorists vote for them. This is true and you can ask. They have become MPs along with terrorists. “
Opposition is reacting sharply to Nitesh’s statement
Opposition parties have reacted sharply to this statement. Congress spokesperson Atul Londhe said, “What else can be expected from Nitish Rane? He has been chosen for this very work. However, I want to ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Devendra Fadnavis, the person (Rane) is a minister and he To maintain the sovereignty and unity of India, he is now calling the voters of the country as ‘terrorists’. Should it be?”
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader also criticized the statement
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anand Dubey said on this, “BJP leaders are worried about Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s victory by a margin of more than 4 lakh votes after PM Modi’s victory by one lakh votes.” Sharad-Pawar-led NCP spokesperson Clyde Crasto said, “Nitesh Rane always speaks like this, BJP will have to clarify whether it agrees with these statements or not. BJP will have to answer to the people of Kerala and India. It’s like an insult.”
Nitesh Rane gave clarification on the matter
Seeing the attention this matter is getting, Nitish Rane has given clarification. He said, “Kerala is a part of India. However, everyone should be worried about the declining Hindu population. There, Hindus converting to Islam or Christianity has become a daily occurrence.”
