Rekha Gupta in student politics
Rekha Gupta entered student politics in 1992 while studying at Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi. She was associated with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and became the President of the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) in 1996-97, where she actively raised the issues of the students. After being elected councilor from North Pitampura in 2007, he worked on the development of facilities like library, park and swimming pool in the area.

Rekha Gupta will currently be the only woman Chief Minister of BJP after becoming the Chief Minister. She will be the fourth woman Chief Minister of Delhi after Sushma Swaraj, Sheila Dixit and Atishi.
