Rekha Gupta’s name has been approved as the next Chief Minister of Delhi. This decision has been taken in the meeting of BJP Legislature Party. Rekha Gupta, who is an MLA from Shalimar Bagh, has been active in politics since his student life. The swearing -in ceremony will be held on Thursday at Ramlila Maidan, where Lt. Governor V.K. Saxena will administer him an oath of office and secrecy. Congress leader Alka Lamba has shared a old picture of Rekha Gupta, which is refreshing the memories of her student politics.

I won the post of Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) president from NSUI and Rekha won the post of General Secretary from ABVP. Congratulations and best wishes to Rekha Gupta. Rekha Gupta in student politics
Rekha Gupta entered student politics in 1992 while studying at Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi. She was associated with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and became the President of the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) in 1996-97, where she actively raised the issues of the students. After being elected councilor from North Pitampura in 2007, he worked on the development of facilities like library, park and swimming pool in the area.
Rekha Gupta will currently be the only woman Chief Minister of BJP after becoming the Chief Minister. She will be the fourth woman Chief Minister of Delhi after Sushma Swaraj, Sheila Dixit and Atishi.
