Washington:
America’s President Donald Trump’s stance on China is quite strict. After taking oath as President, China is on target of Trump from his first speech. US President Donald Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba on Friday condemned China for “inflammatory activities” in the disputed South China Sea. China has always claimed its claim on the South China Sea.
Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba met Donald Trump on Friday. A joint statement has been issued after this meeting, in which China has been condemned.
Condemnation
The joint statement said, “The two leaders reiterated their strong opposition to Chinese illegal maritime claims, militarization of rehearsed facilities and threatening in the South China Sea and inflammatory activities.”
Recently, America has imposed 10 percent tariff on China’s goods. After which China has also retaliated and announced a 15 percent tariff on the import of coal and LNG from the US.
Donald Trump has been constantly putting China in the dock. After becoming the President, in his first speech, Donald Trump targeted him over the Panama Canal. After this, Panama has announced to separate from China’s important project Belt and Road.
