Met with Bhajan Singh, the auto driver who saved the life of film star Saif Ali Khan after the knife attack. He thanked Bhajan Singh and also got a picture clicked with him while smiling. This picture is becoming quite viral on social media. Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked on 15 January. After which the actor was admitted in the hospital. Yesterday i.e. Tuesday (January 21), he was discharged from Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. After being discharged, Saif Ali Khan met the auto driver.
Who is Bhajan Singh Rana?
This is the same Bhajan Singh Rana, who took blood soaked Saif Ali Khan to Lilavati Hospital at the right time. If there had been a delay at that time, Saif Ali Khan’s life could have been in trouble. Bhajan Singh Rana is a resident of Mohanpur village of Khatima, Uttarakhand. These days they are going viral on social media. At the same time, he is being discussed in the entire village.
Apart from mother, wife, brother, a son and a daughter are present in Bhajan Singh’s house. Wife Ragini told that after 2 years of marriage, he had gone to Mumbai in search of work. When it was revealed on TV that Bhajan had saved Saif Ali Khan’s life, there was a wave of happiness in the entire village. The villagers told that Bhajan Singh has been living in Mumbai for the last 20 years.

Bhajan Singh Rana told IANS, “We keep roaming on the streets at night looking for rides. I was passing through Lincoln Road, meanwhile as soon as I reached near the Satguru Sharan building, a woman came running from the building and started making loud rickshaw-rickshaw noises. The woman saw my auto rickshaw and said quickly get the rickshaw, one person is injured and he has to be taken to the hospital.
When asked how much money Saif gave him, Rana refused to reveal the exact amount and said that the actor had requested him not to share the information. However, the driver said that a social worker Faizan Ansari had given him Rs 11,000 separately.
- Rana said that when he reached Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday, just before Saif was discharged from the hospital, he met the actor and his family members and touched the feet of his mother Sharmila Tagore.
- He said that everyone gave him a lot of respect and also got photographs taken with him. He also said that the actor has promised to stay in touch with him.
- On the night of January 16, the 54-year-old actor was attacked by a man with a knife in his house located on the 12th floor of an apartment in Bandra area here. The attacker stabbed him several times with a knife. After this Khan was taken to the hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery. Khan was discharged from Lilavati Hospital located here on Tuesday evening.
The autorickshaw driver said, “I met him (Saif) in the hospital yesterday. He called me to thank me for helping him get to the hospital. He appreciated me. I got blessings from him and his family.
Rana said, “He (Khan) introduced me to his mother (Sharmila Tagore) and I touched her feet. He gave me whatever money he felt was right and said that he would be available whenever I needed help.
Police had arrested Bangladeshi national Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad from Thane on Sunday for attacking the actor. Shahzad had entered India illegally and had changed his name to Vijaydas. According to the police, preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused had entered the actor’s house with the intention of stealing.
Meanwhile, police officials said on Wednesday that several departments under the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Kalina, Mumbai will investigate important evidence seized by the police probing the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan.
Auto driver Bhajan Singh Rana, who took actor Saif Ali Khan to hospital after he was attacked, met the actor yesterday after he was discharged from the hospital.
