Vitul Kumar will take charge as CRPF Director General


New Delhi:

Senior IPS officer Vitul Kumar will take over as Director General of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). The current Director General of CRPF, Anish Dayal Singh, is retiring on Tuesday. Kumar, a 1993 batch IPS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, is currently serving as Special Director General of CRPF.

An order issued by the Union Home Ministry said that the competent authority has appointed Anish Dayal Singh, a 1988 batch IPS officer of Manipur cadre, on superannuation on December 31, 2024, till the appointment of a regular Director General or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Approval has been given to hand over the acting charge of the post of Director General of CRPF to Vitul Kumar.
