The 80th birthday of veteran lyricist-writer Javed Akhtar was celebrated in a special way. Many stars including Aamir Khan, Urmila Matondkar attended the star-studded party and wished him all the best. Urmila has shown a glimpse by sharing a post on social media. Actress Urmila Matondkar shared a picture on Instagram, in which she was seen posing with Javed Akhtar. In another picture too, Urmila was seen posing smilingly in front of the camera with Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan.

Along with the pictures, Urmila Matondkar also posted a video, in which Aamir Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, Shankar Mahadevan and other stars of the film industry were seen singing ‘Happy Birthday’ for the veteran lyricist. Posting on her Instagram handle, Urmila Matondkar wrote, “It was a wonderful day, an afternoon filled with love, laughter, affection, appreciation and wonderful camaraderie with some of the finest talent in our industry because it was so special to all of us It was the man’s birthday. In fact, he is “magical” because the entire nation has been mesmerized by his words for decades. Thank you, Dear Shabana Azmi, for these wonderful moments that have truly changed my life. Has been done brilliantly.”

Film producer-director Farah Khan had wished Javed Akhtar on his birthday by sharing a video. In the video, lyricists were seen dancing with Farah on the song ‘Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam’ from Shahrukh Khan-Juhi Chawla starrer ‘Duplicate’. While sharing the video on Instagram, Farah wrote in the caption, “Happy 80th Birthday to the youngest boy in any room.”

He further wrote, “Javed Akhtar definitely dances better than Shabana Azmi”. Beautiful chemistry was seen in the shared video. In the video, Shabana and Javed are from the Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla starrer film ‘Duplicate’, released in 1998. They were seen dancing on the song ‘Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam’. During this, both of them also followed the hook step of the song.
