But now Vijay Sethupathi and Anurag Kashyap’s Tamil movie, released in the year 2024, seems to be creating new records at the Chinese box office. Even though the film, which was released in China on November 29, had a slow start to its earnings. But even after the third week of its release, the film was seen earning money. Due to this, the film has attracted the attention of people worldwide by earning more in China than in India. Not only this, now a video is also going viral on social media, in which while the audience looked excited after watching the action scene of the film, they had tears in their eyes after watching the emotional scene.

In the video shared on the X page named Gabbar Singh, the audience who went to watch the film can be seen cheering and crying after seeing the twists and turns in the story. The video was captioned as, “Somehow Indian father-daughter films perform very well in China. Dangal, Singing Superstar and now Maharaja.”

Talking about the collection, according to Sacknilk, the film has earned Rs 91.55 crore in 31 days. Due to this, the worldwide collection of the film has become 199.10 crores and the overseas collection has become 115.60 crores. Whereas the net collection in India is 72.43 crores. The budget of the film is only Rs 20 crores.

According to the information, the first week’s collection was Rs 40.75 crore (US$ 4.82 million), the second week was Rs 32.75 crore (US$ 3.85 million), the third week was Rs 12.25 crore (US$ 1.45 million), the fourth week was Rs 5.15 crore (US$ 0.61 million). The film has earned US dollars).

Talking about the story, it revolves around Maharaja, a barber whose life turns upside down after his daughter commits a heinous crime. He decides to take revenge for his daughter. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi, Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, Sachana Namidas, Divya Bharti and Singampuli in lead roles. It is directed by Nithilan Saminathan.
